All Saints Episcopal School - September 28, 2015

Lots of MOVING happened all over campus this past weekend. 2nd Grade moved out of the portable buildings and into their permanent classrooms, while Kindergarten and 1st Grade began today in the modular spaces. Also today, Lower School Spanish classes began meeting in the Spanish Lab, to the delight of the grade levels scheduled for Monday classes. Tuesday, September 29th will be the first day the Calcote Library and Discovery Center will be OPEN FOR BUSINESS! Pictures of the new spaces will be posted next week... we didn't want to spoil the surprises awaiting our students tomorrow! (Did someone say 3D Printer?????)

Wednesday, September 30th is INDIVIDUAL PICTURE DAY. Brush your teeth, comb your hair and SMILE!

On Friday, October 2nd our community will celebrate the life of St. Francis of Assisi by hosting our 40th Annual Blessing of the Pets. This is a time-honored tradition which was brought to our campus by Fr. A. Dean Calcote in 1975. Due to the current state of construction, our sidewalk space is limited in the front courtyard. Even though all families are welcome to bring their pets, we are highly encouraging students to consider bringing a photo of their pet or stuffed animal to the blessing, for this year only, due to limited space. More details and guidelines for this upcoming tradition will be emailed later in the week. Click on the link below for some background information on St. Francis, sponsored by the Humane Society of the United States.

LION KING PERFORMANCE DATES HAVE CHANGED! Make note - The Middle School fall musical, "The Lion King" has been moved to October 15, 16, & 17. Tickets will go on sale the week of October 5th. We are thrilled to be able to make this change allowing for greater participation of our families who are also involved with our feeder school's (MKCHS) homecoming, scheduled for October 9 & 10.
