Roadrunner Report
By Ms. Benitez, Principal Monroe May Elementary
October got here quickly!
Some of our after school enrichment clubs will be starting soon. Be sure to check your child's folder daily. You will need to complete a form and provide permission with your signature. Our staff is excited to kick off these important opportunities for our students. It's one more way our students can be a leader and experience success!
Please be sure to read through to the end for information about events. The button to the site below is a great resource for parents. Understood.org is just one site where you can find information on a variety of student needs and support. Our goal is to continue to provide information around what our aMAYzing students are doing and the ways in which we support them.

A message from our Nurses
We ask that children be kept at home when ill and have a normal temperature for 24 hours after any illness before returning to school.
Medication Policy: For the protection of all students, the clinic has strict rules regarding medication to be given at school. Medication must be accompanied by a medication form completed by a medical provider along with a properly labeled prescription bottle. These forms can be obtained in the school clinic. All medications must be brought in by an adult.
Parents make sure you stay up to date on your child’s immunizations! We encourage you to take advantage of our Mobile Clinics around town, which provide a convenient way to stay up to date. Please contact the clinic for upcoming dates or log on to our NISD website and search Mobile clinic.
