Good news! The 2021 yearbook is finally able to be pre-ordered. Our district has negotiated to make the price of the book only $30 for this year! However, we will be ordering limited quantities, so be sure to order by January 29th to reserve a copy. This is the yearbook you will show your kids when you say "I made it through the 20-21 pandemic!"
There are 2 ways to purchase:
1. ONLINE. Just log onto the Vancouver School District Payment Website: https://wa-vancouver.intouchreceipting.com/. The username will be your students’ 6-digit ID number proceeded by 3-zeros (i.e. 000XXXXXX). The password is your students’ last name ALL CAPS. Then you just click on your students’ name when it comes up and go from there. Questions? Call the Business Office from 7:30-2:00 weekdays at (360) 313-4200.
2. IN PERSON. You can visit Skyview from 7:30-2:00 and pre-order a yearbook in the Business Office. All visitors are required to wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols.
Want to be sure you are in the yearbook? Check our website https://skyviewhsyearbook.weebly.com/ for fun surveys and other information.
Senior families: Stay tuned for information about parent ad purchasing!
Thanks for your support!
Help for students to keep track of their schedule during the day.
Attendance matters during remote learning!
Students are in attendance when they make contact with a teacher or access Canvas within 24 hours on school days. If there is no contact or access, it will be counted as an absence, and you will receive a phone call, email, and text message. If your child performs one of these actions and an attendance message is sent in error, please let us know.
Messages will be sent around 4:45 p.m. for the previous school day and on Mondays if a student did not participate on the previous Friday. Absences can be excused by notifying the school within three days. To excuse an absence, you can call 360-313-4220, email skyview.attendance@vansd.org or enter the absence in your Family Access account. You have 3 days to excuse an absence. Excusable reasons - Health Care Appointment, Illness, Family Activity, Family Emergency, Pre-Arranged Absence. You can check Skyward Parent Access to see what class is marked Unexcused.
In order for your student NOT to be marked absent for a period -
A- attend ZOOM class; and/or
B- log on to CANVAS for class that day; and/or
C- connect with the teacher

Athletics

Beginning Monday, Oct 6, VPS will be allowing coaches to work with small "pods" of student-athletes in alignment with WIAA guidelines for Phase 2 of Washington's Safe Start plan. This is a unique opportunity for our athletic programs to lead and demonstrate how students can safely return to some form of in-person activities in a responsible and safe manner. Listed below are documents needed for participation and a description of the guidelines that will be followed. Skyview Athletics is thankful for the opportunity to connect with our athletes during these times.
Students will need to complete and turn in the COVID Screening and Waiver Form prior to participating.
Coaches and student-athletes will need to strictly adhere to the COVID Workout Guidelines.
Coaches will also screen student-athletes each day for COVID symptoms and take and record temperatures.
All activities and workouts must occur outside of regular school hours so that there is no disruption to classes.
This is entirely voluntary for both coaches and students.
Fall Virtual Games- Unified Sports!
Though we may not be at school, Special Olympics of Washington has created an experience that our athletes can participate in Virtually! The Skyview Athletics and Unified Rally Club are calling all Unified athletes and partners to participate in the 2020 Fall Virtual games representing Skyview High School.
Please see the flyer with all information here
