How do we get our kids reading?

Make it a routine - whether it's right before the breakfast, or right before bed, set aside a special time every day.

What’s “Just Right”? Children feel confident and competent when they read books that are “just right.” But how do you find a “just right” book? Have your child read the back and front cover, and the first page of the book. If there are more than five words that he cannot pronounce or understand in context, the book may be too challenging. Be supportive about finding a more perfect fit. Choosing the right book will help your little reader feel successful.

2018-19 OSTP Parent, Student, and Teacher Guides (PSTGs)

State testing is coming in APRIL. The practice questions you see in the PSTG represent the types of questions and interactions your students will see when they take the Spring 2019 OSTP state assessments in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science.

5th grade will take English Language Arts (Reading and Writing), Mathematics, and Science.

6th grade will take English Language Arts (Reading only) and Mathematics.

We will be doing ONLINE practice tests the week before Spring Break to expose students to the online format and practice questions.

Upcoming GRIT Assemblies--6th grade Feb. 7--5th grade Feb. 8

We will recognize our January character trait (ACCEPTANCE) during the assemblies on Feb. 7/8. We are so proud of how our students are showing GRIT throughout out the school!
