Principal's Message:
Dear Weibel Families,
Happy New Year! I hope all the families had a wonderful, relaxing holiday season and wish everyone the best in 2021. I would like to thank everyone for wishing our Weibel staff a very warm Holiday season.
During the month of January, Weibel will be participating in a virtual food drive through Alameda County Community Food Bank. Teachers will be sharing more information with the families within the next few days. We would like to encourage families to participate in this as a service project for our students. You could make this into a fun project for your house by having the kids earn their donation money through doing some service for you, such as a house chore. It could be a great way to practice counting money and learning the value of earning money. We hope to reach our school goal of $2400! Please check out our virtual food drive page: https://www.vfd-accfb.org/grouphome.aspx?ID=7812
Thank you,
Ms. Lee

Library Corner:
Hello and Happy New Year Wildcats! I hope you all had a safe and fun Winter Break. This has been a trying time for all of us and struggling to have access to books or motivation to read is a part of that. This is very normal. I have created the Weibel Virtual Library Google Slide with hopes to help. On this page you will have access to fun read aloud books, audio books, links to our Junior Library Guild Digital Library, arts and crafts, educational game websites and Virtual Field Trips. This slide is regularly updated with new content. So I encourage you to check it out often! Keep Reading, Learning and Exploring!

PS - As always, the Virtual Calming Corner is available for students (and parents) as well!
Greetings Parents and Guardians!
Below are the winners for challenge 5, Kindness. I am also sharing some of the student and staff acts of Kindness. Please take a moment to congratulate your students in class. We didn't have as many participants in this last challenge, I assume due to it being over the last week before break and during break. The next challenge, Coping Skills is open. It will be open for the lottery until the end of the day 1/15. I am hoping that many more students will try this challenge. It asks that students try a few new coping skills and provides some how to's for relaxing, an online (printable) journal, and more. Mental Health Challenge
