Academy of the Arts at Bransom

A Note From Your Principal
- Our Bransom Sound choir received outstanding scores at their choir competition at NRH2O.
- Our Academic U.I.L. teams received great honors at their recent competition including Overall Outstanding School.
- Our 4th and 5th grade students were simply amazing at last week's BISD 4th/5th Grade Field Day.
- Several of our students performed at the "City on the Hill" celebration on Saturday afternoon after a super Character Walk Saturday morning. We had 80 participants at the Character Walk which put us in 2nd place for the most participants. (We'll get that trophy next year.)
- A few of our students were awarded their WHITE BELT on Saturday at the Texas Black Belt Academy. This award was the result of an after school club. (More students will be awarded their WHITE BELT next week.)
- Our students and faculty raised $5,875 for the "Relay for Life" efforts for the American Cancer Society. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! Make sure your child is present on the last day of school so he/she can participate in taping Ms. Howell to the wall! What a great sport!
As you can see, once STAAR was completed our students continued their awesome performances out and about in the district and beyond.
As we begin the final several days of school, it will be important to check the calendar for additional awards ceremonies and graduations as well as field trips off campus and celebrations on campus. If you are not sure about celebrations or events for your child, please contact your child's teacher today. Your child would love for you to participate if at all possible.
For general calendar information about NO SCHOOL days and our LAST DAY early release, please the calendar below.

Last week the "Cowboy Compost" team met on our campus to share their ideas and their message. Interestingly, the team was made up of Burleson and Ft. Worth folks who want to help salvage the land in and around our community - Pete Smith, a parent from the Academy of the Arts at Bransom, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, music director and conductor of the Ft. Worth Symphony, Johanna Calderon, and others were present.
