Weekly Happenings
Week of 11/5/18
A Message from the Administrator
Greetings MCS Families,
I would like to thank everyone that took the time to attend conferences last Thursday and Friday. We had an amazing turnout and I hope that you were able to see what your children have been working on and get to know the teachers better. I always appreciate feedback and if you feel there is something we can do to improve, please let us know.
Our board selected RGU out of Lewiston as our architect for the upcoming middle school expansion. In the coming weeks, we will be putting out a request for proposals for the general contractor of the expansion. Our main hope is to start construction in March and be ready to go by the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
The temperatures are beginning to drop as we head into Fall/Winter. Please have your children dress appropriately because we do have outdoor recess even if it is lightly raining or snowing. Feel free to go through our lost and found if your children are missing their coats, sweatshirts, lunch boxes, etc.!
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Tony Bonuccelli

Messages from the PAT
Teacher Appreciation Brunch:
A huge thanks to all of the parents who helped with our Teacher Appreciation Brunch. The teachers/staff were very thankful for the delicious treats and drinks.
Rummage Sale:
The PAT will be hosting a Rummage Sale on Saturday, January 12th, 2019 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Donations can be dropped off at the entrance of MCS or arrangements for bigger donations can be made by emailing Pernille at pelan02hotmail.com. In December, we will be sending students home with bags and flyers. These bags can be used for collecting items for the sale.
We are still looking for a larger location to host the Rummage Sale. If you have any ideas of a good location that would allow us to host the event for free, please let us know.
We are still looking for a few more volunteers to help out with the event. Please
see https://www.facebook.com/groups/258491117674363/permalink/915895945267207/ if you would like to help. Thank you!
