Work Packet Pick Ups

Dear Clifford Families and Staff,

I want to thank all of you for your continued patience and support. I know that this has been a trying time, and continues to be so. We wanted to provide you with the latest update of information based on a mandate to shelter in place that has been issued by San Mateo County, as well as a number of other bay area counties. We still have the essential task of distributing work to your children so they can successfully work at home over the next few weeks.

In order to minimize contact, the district is providing digital access to the work packets for you to print at home. If you are unable to print the materials as your home, we will have paper copies available for curbside pickup tomorrow morning from 8:30-4:00. Please understand that we have not utilized a system like this before and would expect that it will take some time for us to complete this process, so we ask for your patience.

Many of your wonderful Clifford teachers sent home their own work for your children Friday, but there are still many materials that have been provided by the district to keep your child(ren) engaged while they work from home.

For pickup tomorrow, please plan to pull into the traffic circle and stop by the entrance at the stairs to the office. We will have someone come to your car and ask you for your child’s name and grade level. They will run and grab your essential materials and bring them to you in your car. Please make sure to stay in your vehicle throughout the whole process to minimize contact between yourself and school staff. We want to respect you and your family’s health and ask for your flexibility and patience in following these directions.

We miss seeing you and your kiddos faces everyday!

Jude Noyes

Help your child use learning technology at home

Our school district is using Clever as an easy way for your child to access all the learning applications they use at school. They can access some of the resources they use at school in one location, using a single username and password.

I'd love for you to help us increase education engagement at home by helping your child access their online learning applications.

How can I help my child log in?

  1. Go to our district website (https://www.rcsdk8.net):

  2. Scroll down and click on the District Link to the Clever Student Learning Portal

  3. Log in using either your child’s Clever Badge (QR Code) or their school issued Google Account.

Student Google username hint: flast(then last 3 digits of their student number) @kids.rcsdk8.net (first letter of first name and first 4 letters of last name, then last 3 numbers of student ID number)

Student password hint: 55555500 (eight digits)

Need some help? Contact your teacher if you have any questions or problems logging in at home.

If your QR badge isn't working, or you're having trouble and can't login or don't know your child's Google Login you can email me: jnoyes@rcsdk8.net or Tiffany tparrish@rcsdk8.net and we'd be happy to send you your child's login and password.

5th Grade Outdoor Education

It is with great disappointment that because of school district closures in San Mateo County the outdoor education program is cancelled until 4/13. Unfortunately, because of the limited number of weeks remaining in the school year, it is unlikely they will be able to reschedule schools. I was informed that the programs will work with San Mateo County Office of Education and our district office administrators to explore ways to provide an alternative outdoor education experience for students who will miss attending outdoor education.
