Friday Focus

Happy Friday
Our counselors are knee deep in the scheduling process for next year. They have been available to answer questions at lunch each day. It's always a big job getting through the scheduling process. Thanks to Michelle, Jennifer, and Geana for making this all happen!
The history department had great stuff to share on Wednesday during late start. I hope hearing from others in the building is encouraging and inspiring to you. I think new ideas often come to us when we hear other people share things that are working for them.
We had a good visit with a team from Republic HS yesterday. They were interested in how Liberator Time works for us. They are considering doing something similar at their school. They are also visiting several other schools and will share out what they learned from the other sites.
I enjoyed the podcast Andy put together with Tania earlier this week. It was entertaining and informational. Andy says he would like to do more of these. So, if you have something to share, make it known. :)
Be thinking about what you might like to learn or a project you might like to tackle after spring break. We are going to completely try something new at late start. You will have complete ownership of your learning and work during that time, provided it is not routine stuff like grading papers or checking email. We will try it for several weeks and see how we like it. I will send out more information as we get closer to time.
The FFA breakfast was amazing as always. Thanks to the advisors and all the students for waking so early to make it happen!
Don't forget we also have lunch today in the conference room. Loosen your belt a notch and come on down.
Keep Paul Coffey and his family in your thoughts and prayers. His brother passed this week. The visitation is noon Saturday followed by the funeral at 2pm. Pitts is handling the arrangements.
Change in Open House dates
So, we are going to have Open House on Monday, March 7 from 5:00-8:00PM and Thursday, March 10 from 5:00-7:00PM.
