Instructional calendar

The 2019-2020 LTISD Instructional Calendar provides the framework to best meet the instructional requirements for students as well as the professional development needs of teachers and staff.

The Lake Travis school board approved the 2019-2020 instructional calendar at its regular meeting December 19. The calendar was developed in coordination with the District’s Advisory Committee on Education (ACE) and input from district and campus staff.

Skyward Family Access replaces txConnect

Skyward Family Access is a secure, internet-based student information system that replaces txConnect. Skyward Family Access allows easy access to view student attendance, behavior/discipline, calendars, demographic data, enrollment, health information, grades, schedules and transcripts. It is a free service available to all parents, guardians and students enrolled in the Lake Travis Independent School District.

Please make sure to:

  • add your emergency contacts into the new system
  • indicate whether or not the emergency contact is able to pick up your child from school.

Summer bond projects update

During the summer, construction crews made a number of improvements across our district as part of our 2018 Bond program. In addition to the construction of two new campuses, the work also included repairs and renovations to existing campuses and district buildings. Visit our Bond Projects webpage for more details.

Bee Cave Middle School opens

Construction of Bee Cave Middle School (BCMS) is complete and the campus is open for the 2019-2020 school year. BCMS is the third middle school in the district and serves students in grades 6-8. Bee Cave Middle School is lead by principal Amanda Prehn.

Elementary school No. 7 under construction

LTISD has also broken ground and began construction on Elementary School No. 7. The addition of both BCMS and Elementary School No. 7 in response to fast growth in the district as predicted in the Demographic Update commissioned by the district and released in February 2017.

Lake Travis Independent School District

The Lake Travis Independent School District is a 6A district located about 25 minutes west of Austin, Texas. Established in 1981, Lake Travis ISD is a growing district comprised of nine campuses serving of more than 11,100 students.
