What is homeostasis?

Homeostasis is the tendency towards a relitively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements, especially as maintained by phisiological processes.

The digestive system is a group of organs working together to convert food into energy and basic nutrients to feed the entire body.

Junk food and your health

Junk food can do many harmful things to your body such as: higher colesterol, chance of obesity, depression, and even lower IQ. Foods like donuts, boxed baked treats, processed foods and restraunt-fried food. These fats, which are produced by partially hydrogenating various types of oils, have been linked to serious health problems. For instance, they are known to increase your levels of "bad" cholesterol and decrease your levels of "good" cholesterol, which can boost your chances of having heart disease according to the Harvard School of Public Health. When compared with young adults who eat fast food less than once weekly, young adults who eat at fast food restraunts more than twice a week gain more weight and are more likely to get diabetes.
