Keeping the Air Clean
Thank you for your commitment to keeping the air around McKinley clean. It benefits our students and neighbors and saves you money in gas and car repair. Over a quarter of our students reviewed the No Idling Pledge to turn off their engine when waiting in their vehicle for more than 10 seconds with their families. Way to go!
Congratulations to Mrs. Mottet's class- 64% of her senior kindergarten students returned the pledge. They earned an extra recess!

Oral Care Recycling
The Green Team and local community member Margie Pecus have combined efforts to have a drive to collect tooth care products and their packaging from now through the end of the school year.
The link provided should have any and all information about what we are collecting, what happens next, where we will send it to be recycled, etc. https://www.terracycle.com/en-US/brigades/colgate We have placed a box in the office to deposit the products. If you have any questions, please email me. I am very happy to help!
Adult Auction and Social Wish List
Each year the McKinley PTO chooses a special focus for the money raised during the McKinley Auction & Social. We are excited to announce that this year's focus will be our McKinley’s new future through both its students and teachers! This important fundraiser not only helps to fund key PTO initiatives such as High Interest Day, annual school wide art and theater field trips and our composting program, it also generally raises money to support a special project each year. This year’s theme is Investing in OUR Future and with our new school building construction about to begin, the special project is really to help fund “special” needs that will come along during the building phase when life as we know it around McKinley will be tested for space and flexibility, as well as individual classroom teacher needs.
We are looking for donations for the auction and need your help. If you are able to donate the items below or have any other items and experiences please contact
Bill Koch at bkoch54@toadinfo.com.
