ACT 44: Are you focusing on mental health?
Schools play a significant role in supporting the health and well-being of children and youth, including those affected by traumatic experiences. In a trauma-sensitive school, all aspects of the educational environment are grounded in an understanding of trauma and its impact and are designed to promote resilience for all.
Participants will understand trauma in a broad and inclusive way, while learning how the brain and body respond to stress and trauma. Participants will recognize the effects of trauma on students, staff, and schools.
