TJ UPDATES

Happy New Year! Looks like we will be starting off the school year with a nice blast of winter. I hope you all enjoyed your time with family and friends.

Over the vacation I joined a reading challenge that I found on Twitter called #SixtyBooks. According to the website: "The goal is simple; read #SixtyBooks in 2016 and share your reading in order to motivate and inspire other people to make reading part of their daily routine as well." Feel free to join me in this challenge - any book counts and most of you could easily read 60 books just with the books you read for guided reading or read to your children (at school and/or at home). So far I've read one book (The Lonely Ones) since 1/1/16! Check out the challenge here.

Paula and baby update - No baby yet. She is schedule to arrive on Wednesday.

Don't forgot to sign up for your Professional Learning Walk. There are still spots available for January dates. This is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with each other.

Check out her TEDx talk here about her classroom and how she incorporates technology. She is a second grade teacher and PLTW teacher in Fargo, ND. Follow her classroom tweets at @TweetingTopDogs.
