Reading Gives Us Someplace to Go
Since last school year, the West library has slowly evolved into a place where students and teachers can stop in and not just for their schedule class time. The space and resources available in our library are growing. Its also a place students enjoy stopping in for a visit to read a good book, create something, learn more, and enjoy the company of and collaboration of others.
I envisioned a busy place, and I would say... the library is indeed a busy place and "Reading Gives Us a Place to Go"!
The pictures below share about the busy events going on in the West Library. We are busy, and we welcome you to stop in and see!

Second Grade
They have recently created a class K-W-L graphic organizer to list what they know about spiders, want to know, and we will add to it as we learn. Student have chosen a specific spider to research and will produce a multimedia project to share what they have learned! I'm very proud of the growth seen in student independence in second grade!
