District Newsletter | January 29, 2023
Welcome to the inaugural issue of Inside DCS!
Moving forward, our district will be sending our family e-newsletter monthly. Much like our website and logo, Inside DCS is a renewed version of what was previously the weekly "Dublin City Schools E-News." Each month, we will share updates from the Superintendent, celebrate engaging activities at our schools, and remind families of important dates and upcoming events. Inside DCS will arrive in your email inbox on the last Sunday of each month.
It's hard to believe there are only 77 school days remaining for this school year (give or take a few for our youngest and oldest students). Our secondary students are already choosing classes for next year and our Class of 2023 students are making graduation plans. While there is snow on the ground this week, it won't be long before the busy spring season is here. Looking ahead, there are several exciting things planned across our district, including our signature DCS Dodgeball Tournament on May 12 at Coffman High School. This year's beneficiary for the Dodgeball Tournament is the Dublin Food Pantry. The Food Pantry serves an average of 2,500 individuals and families each month right here in Dublin!
Our district is also writing a new strategic plan, developing a robust early literacy initiative, and growing our community engagement efforts. We're excited for a semester that fuses both change and tradition, and we hope you are, too. Happy reading!
