Read for the Record Schoolwide Event!!!
What is Read for the Record Day, you ask?
The website describes it this way: Read for the Record® (RFTR) is an annual campaign that was launched over a decade ago to highlight the importance of building early literacy and language skills for EVERY child. Each year, millions of children and adults are brought together to read in classrooms, libraries, community centers, and homes across the world.
This year the book is Maybe Something Beautiful. This book is based on a true story about the Urban Art Trail in San Diego, this books shows how art can "inspire transformation"!
Digital Citizenship Week is October 15 - 19!
Gettin' Googly With It......
First, behold the greatness that is CraftyText. This extension allows you to show a title, phrase or my favorite use, a URL address, in gigantic, bold print! So the students in the very back of the room can see and you don't have to keep repeating it. Priceless! Below is an example. I LOVE it!
Another Awe-inspiring Google Extension is CraftyCursor!
