Upcoming Due Dates
Classroom Happenings
ELA: Mrs. Day & Mrs.Goosen
Students should be working on their second book for their February reading goals as well as reading their chosen companion book.
The week students learned how to express their thoughts about what they are reading by using graphics and freewriting. We are encouraging students to think deeper about their reading by asking why and making connections.
If you would like to support our classroom library, please visit our class Amazon Wish List (Day) or Amazon Wish List (Goosen). Thank you for your support!
Science: Mr. Geringer & Mrs. Oliver
Students studied the Skeletal, Muscular, and Respiratory systems during class this week. Next week we will study the Nervous and Circulatory systems and will begin preparing for our upcoming Pig Heart Dissection field trip.
Social Studies: Mrs. Goosen & Mr. Landolt
Students learned all about being an adult and creating a budget. They were quite shocked at the cost of some basic things and trying to make a budget work with their chosen careers. Next we will be moving into macroeconomics and exploring the various types of economies as well as looking at economies of the past.
