Thanks for your help and flexibility during CSW!
I have heard some excellent feedback from parents and grandparents concerning Grandparents Day ("So organized and fun....this is why my grandkids go to Catholic school") and great feedback from kids about the board games on Wednesday ("I got to play Hungry, Hungry Hippos with the big kids!")
To be successful, Catholic schools must offer a unique, educational opportunity in order to attract students and remain viable (The Charism of 21st Century Catholic Schools, Cook & Simonds, 2011). CSW is an opportunity for our students and teachers to come together as a family, whether that's helping serve lunch to grandparents or playing Go Fish with 1st graders. Our welcoming, family atmosphere is one of the things we consistently hear from stakeholders when they're asked why they send their kids to NC. Events like the ones this week--as well as Soup Dinners, concession stands, committee meetings, School of Prayer events and more--are what brings our family closer together.
Thanks for all you do at Norfolk Catholic!

Last thing today....
I wonder if Socrates' principal ever interrupted his class with announcements over the intercom?

It's kinda cute when students post on social media hoping that school gets cancelled. It's not as cute when teachers are posting this also.
But the tweet Paul was pointing me to was "The Five Things to Say to Students Before the End of the Day."
1. I believe in you.
2. I look forward to seeing you in class tomorrow.
3. I'm really glad you are a part of this class.
4. I missed you not being here yesterday.
5. Thank you.
Let's continue having these types of interactions with our students!
Have a great Friday and an even better weekend! Don't forget to remind people about Fr. Tim Lange's piano in the Cenacle Room at 3 PM on Sunday!
