Important upcoming dates include:

Remote children need to indicate their commitment for 3rd marking period. This commitment is due by January 13;

January 29th 2nd quarter ends;
February 9th and 10th Picture Day. Remote student times are available on February 9th-click here.

Lunch Pick Up

Did you know that on Mondays you can pick up 7-day meal packs for all students you have enrolled at the Massena Central School Districts? You can pick the packs up at any school in the Massena Central School District, including here at JW Leary!

The packs are at no cost to you and you do not need to call ahead. Pull into the parent loop and let us know how many students you have!

Friday January 15th pack pickup will take place; there will be no pick up on Monday January 18th due to the Martin Luther King Holiday

Operation Christmas Connection-Remote Student/Family Home Visits

On Monday December 21, 2020 JW Leary faculty/staff paid a visit to 161 students and families engaging in remote instruction. Operation Christmas Connection was spearheaded by Mrs. Trimboli and supported by an incredible team of educators. We all look forward to continued connection and collaboration with students and families!

Student Council

Student Council is starting and will be having elections via a Google Form on January 14 and January 15. To run for office students will need to submit a brief (under 2 minute) video or the information form to Mrs. Jarrett-email her for more information.

There are offices for students at all grade levels:

President (8th grade)
Vice-President (7th grade)
Secretary (any grade)
Treasurer (any grade)

All students who run for office and any interested student can become a part of the student council. For more information please contact Mrs. Jarrett.

ELA Community Outreach

English Language Arts Classes send cards and written letters to nursing homes. There were two local homes: Highland Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and one in Malone The Alice Center.
