Young athletes should think twice before playing football.

Have you ever gotten a concussion? Well, if you did, there is a 15% chance that it was caused from football. Many people think Football is a good thing like all other sports. But others think it's too dangerous. Young athletes should think twice before playing football.

Football leads to injuries. To begin with, the Orlando Orthopaedic Center states that "At least one player sustains a concussion in nearly every american football game." This proves that football is not that safe due to the fact that there is at least one concussion in every game. Also, Scope states that "Football players of all ages have suffered permanent brain damage from repeated concussions" This explains why a lot of football players are not themselves anymore once they hit a certain amount of concussions. Additionally, Lori Cook claims that "Head injury is an obvious risk of kids playing football,” she says. "Between 2001 and 2009, the most recent years of CDC data, football sent about 25,376 kids under age 19 to the emergency room for traumatic brain injury each year." This means 1/10 of orlando's population kids got a concussion. Football leads to a lot of injuries.

That basically explains why a lot of young athletes shouldn't take the risk. At least one player in every american football game. Think about that! Do you know how many football games there are? Head injury is the second most concussion-creating sport!

Football should be thought about twice before being played. Or else it is most likely you'll get a concussion.
