Volunteers Needed!

A visit to the concessions table is a well-loved part of field day, and we need parent volunteers to help make it run efficiently. If you're planning on attending field day (this Friday, 4/29), please consider donating an hour of your time to help with the sales. Click the link to sign up!

Field Day Shirts

Field Day shirts were due to arrive tomorrow, but the vendor has alerted me that there are delays due to shortages. They have assured me that they will get all shirts delivered by Tuesday, at the latest, Wednesday. As soon as shirts arrive, they will be sent home with students on the same day and an email will be sent to alert you. Thank you for your patience.

It’s bookfair time!

Between April 27 and May 3, 2022 the book fair will be open daily from 7:45am-2:30pm in the library! The book fair is a fundraiser for the Williams library and a great opportunity for your student to build their home library. Special after school hours will be on Thursday, April 28 from 4:30-5:30. To sign up to volunteer, sign up for e-wallet (a electronic book fair gift card), or to shop the online book fair, visit this website: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/williamselementaryschool21

Ramadan

As some of you may know, Ramadan has begun. Many of our students and staff will choose to participate in this month of fasting between dawn and sunset for 29 to 30 days. During these hours, participants will not be able to eat or drink anything.

I would like to let you know that staff at Manford Williams Elementary are ready and happy to provide supports.

We will have a designated area available at lunch time for fasting students who do not wish to come to the cafeteria. Fasting students who want to sit in the cafeteria are welcome to do so and will not be required to eat or drink. During outdoor recess, fasting students are welcome to sit in a shaded area, or can request to spend this time indoors.

Please reach out to your child's teacher/front office and encourage your children to communicate with their teachers about any needs that may occur during Ramadan.

Our partnership with our school community is important. We thank our families for their communication with the campus regarding special occasions and observances that may impact the instructional day, so that we can be a source of support to all.

How Does your Garden Grow?
