Bear Tracks
February 8, 2019
Note from the Principal:
Dear Staff,
If you are mentally or physically tired as you read this, there is nothing wrong with you. In fact, I'll argue that something is right with you.
As a school, we are coming off an incredible World Read Aloud Day, gearing up for a Wellness Day that is unlike anything in any elementary school on earth and we are doing some major upgrades to the Outdoor Learning Area that will mean many more opportunities to get out there this spring.
That is not to mention every single interaction that you have with your students, their families and your colleagues. We do a lot... And we do it well. And that is not easy. Every single person plays an invaluable role in our school - every teacher, therapist, para, secretary, security guard, nurse, counselor, CST member... everyone.
If you are exhausted, remind yourself that it is ok. But then make sure that you lean on those around you and that you provide a spark of energy, positivity and enthusiasm for them when you can. And make sure that you are TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF.
Remember to focus on what we can control and change. If we are working together and supporting each other, there is NOTHING that we cannot do. Remember also to have fun, we are about 100 days in and February is flying by. Be sure to enjoy the moments.
Happy Friday!
Sincerely,
Chris
