Valentine Carnation Sale
It's that time of year again. On Monday forms for our Valentine Carnation Sale will be sent home.
All orders will be due Friday, February 5th at 8:30 AM. We will not accept late orders this year. The flowers will be delivered students on Thursday, February 11. The profits will benefit the Royal Oak Youth Assistance.
Questions should be directed to Kelley Sebastian or Kendra Bath.
Gleaners Food Drive-Thank You from Gleaners
Thank you so much for your donation of 357 pounds of assorted food to Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. This generous gift will provide approximately 296 meals to your hungry neighbors in need! Outstanding job!
Without advocates like you in our community Gleaners would not be able to collect over 2.5 million pounds of food from food drives and distribute them to our more than 550 partners each year. Through your support, you are helping to connect hungry people with the food they need when and where they need it.
Thank you
*Thank you for talking to your kids about their school day.
*Thank you for participating in school events when you are available.
*Thank you for your generous support. A kind word, a smile and a hello make my day!
*Thanks for sending your students to us each and every day. We work hard to help them grow.
*Thanks for volunteering. I know that lots of our volunteers are helping at home and do not come in during the school day and we appreciate any help you give us.
*Thanks for telling us about what is working and what is not. It helps us grow.
Reminders
*It was reported and confirmed on video that someone was driving a vehicle on the emergency path in the back of the building, heading toward the playground. This is absolutely not acceptable and it is dangerous. This area is for emergency vehicles. The police liaison has been notified.
*Please drive slowly in the parking lot and on McDonald. At pick-up and drop-off it is very busy with small children and adults.
*Please always follow the signs (do not enter, one way, staff only) and drive slowly at all times.
*Please be courteous as you drive on McDonald.
*I love dogs and puppies but they are not allowed on school property per district policy. Please refrain from bringing them to school.
*Dress students for the weather. Last week we had students without coats and in shorts . It was 24 degrees outside (BRR).
Thank you for helping keep this a great (and safe) place for kids!
Science Olympiad
This is a fun event for all! Sign up soon to have a great night of fun and learning!
We need your help! Consider being a volunteer, you will impress your child with your skills plus
all positions have instructions on how to do them. You won’t have to reinvent the wheel. Commit early, and you get to come to a kick off event at the chair’s house the evening of February 9th. What other committee does that? Interested? Contact Susan Bannan at northwoodmadscientists@gmail.com or 248-990-8483.
