There's still time to give!
2019 WSD Employee Giving Campaign for the United Way
Keegan's Story
Not Missing a Beat
Three-year-old Keegan is transfixed, concentrating on shoveling rocks into his pail in the backyard. Suddenly, he’s interrupted from his task and looks up at the sky. He points to a passing airplane.
Watching from the porch, his mom, Mitzi, grins from ear to ear.
When the plane is out of sight, Keegan goes back to playing, but Mitzi is lost in the moment. It may seem like a simple thing, but it’s something Mitzi never thought she’d see her son do.
Read the rest of Keegan's story and how he received life-changing assistance from United Way.
Good Afternoon,
Dear WSD Employees,
The Wentzville School District is a proud participant in the 2019 WSD United Way Workplace Giving Campaign which supports over 160 agencies throughout the St. Louis region that have a positive impact on our families and our community.
So far, 41 generous employees have already raised $4,900 towards our goal of $8,000 and the campaign runs through next week. So there is still time to contribute! To make your donation, search "United Way Pledge" in your inbox for your unique link to give. You can make a pledge and pay by check, credit card or payroll deduction. There is no minimum amount, so even $1 per paycheck can make a difference.
As an example, a gift of $20 could provide the following:
- 2 pairs of eyeglasses for elderly people in need, or
- 2 hearing screenings for school-age children, or
- 4 winter hats for people who are homeless, or
- 12 nutritious meals delivered to a homebound senior
To see the impact your gift can make, visit the United Way STL website and use the impact calculator.
Thank you for your support!
