What is Cross Country Skiing?
Cross Country Skiing is a form of ski touring, which is skiing for a long distance. This can be a recreational sport, professional sport, or even was a form of transportation for people that lived in deep, snow covered areas. The sport is a grueling course that not only is long, but require 100 percent physical activity while participating in it. What you'll find most often is that people that participate in XC Skiing events often collapse at the finish line because of the extreme fatigue they endure during the race.
