FAKE PHISHING
Phishing is where you are sent e-mails pretending to be your bank or something else, saying there's something wrong and asking you for your personal details in order to 'fix' the fake problem.
Step 1-the e-mail
phishing starts of when you are sent an e-mail pretending to be one of your trusted companies saying there is a problem with your account and asking for your details.
Ways to stop this:
-Phishers never know your name so they are most likely to call you 'Dear Customer',.
-Sometimes the company they are pretending to be are not a company who have ever signed up for so you can immediately tell if it is fake.
step 2-the question and the details
They then ask you for your details or personal information...WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE!!!
Ways to stop this:
The link to the website is 99.9 percent of the time not the real website.
You can tell by the web address if the link is fake if it looks strange or unfamiliar then it cannot be trusted.
step 3-the target
If you EVER give your details in... the phishers are most likely to take your money.
Ways to stop this:
Don't give in your details, check with the proper company before doing anything.
Block and delete the e-mail once you have realised it is a phisher.
Keep calm...most of the time its a phisher nothing is wrong with your account, you can contact your trusted company if you are worried.
