CHS Weekly Update
Week 5: 9-29-19
Welcome October
When I think of the busy start to the school year that we had, although it was tiring, I find that everyday there was a reason to be grateful. Whether it was the ever-present laughter, the level of care for our kids, the cooperation and genuine thinking that has gone into building our priorities, or one of the million other ways in which you all make CHS a special place to be, September was a great month for gratitude and one that makes me excited for what October will bring.
Other Things on My Mind...
- I'm proud of the work that we accomplished on Friday during PD to unpack our building goals. We will be meeting within the next 2 weeks to refine what the groups developed on Friday. These goals will guide our work this year.
- Please make sure to schedule a time to meet with your evaluator to discuss your goal(s) after you have completed your self-eval. When you meet, please also be prepared to discuss what you are working on this year so that we know what you would like feedback on.
- The first building advisory team meeting will take place next Monday after school from 2:45 - 3:10. If you were selected to be on the team by our staff, you will receive an email this evening.
- Cell phone lockers have been delivered. Please make sure to communicate clearly to students about your expectations for your class.
- Remember PSAT/SAT testing is tomorrow. Please remind students to try their hardest on this practice and make sure you are actively monitoring even though it is not the same secure test as in April.
- Let's make it an awesome week! :)
