News From Lincoln: Literacy Update
As many of you know, literacy has been a major emphasis this year in all Whitewater Elementary Schools. Staff are using new curriculum aligned to the science of reading and students are growing their reading skills every day. Through the year Lincoln has had representatives from Schools Cubed come and help our teachers grow their skills in the area of literacy. Each month our consultant from Schools Cubed has come into our school to observe teachers and give feedback to help improve our student's literacy outcomes. In January, we will be analyzing our mid year data and working with teachers to differentiate curriculum to meet the needs of our learners. All staff are excited to see our mid year data to see how much our students have grown this past semester. We will be excited to celebrate our growth!
Attendance Matters
One of the areas we can improve as a school is with our student attendance. This includes tardies, partial days and full day absences.
