A Letter From Jordan Mills...
Dear Bridgeport Families,
I hope you have been able to enjoy this beautiful weather and have fallen into a school routine this spring!
As you may already know from the most recent message from the district, TTSD will be administering the state standardized test this spring. Because this is such an unusual year, our goal is to avoid as much disruption as possible to our student instructional time. As a result, we will provide testing opportunities for all students, those in the hybrid program and 100% online program on a Wednesday, tentatively June 2.
It is important to know that when scheduling your child for testing, they may be testing in the same room as other students not in their cohort and therefore may increase their risk of exposure to Covid-19.
You can schedule your student for testing here: https://forms.gle/ysPMnZeikmG4Hjzq8 by Friday, April 30.
However, if you do not want your student to take the state tests, you may opt them out of state testing this year by completing this form: https://forms.gle/9zYzQrYt3ZAMGiCU7 by Friday, April 30.
If you have any questions regarding state testing, please contact our Dean and testing coordinator, Bobbie Brown at bbrown@ttsd.k12.or.us.
Sincerely,
Jordan Mills
Principal
Atentamente,
Jordan Mills

Hi Bridgeport families,
I hope you are doing well. I created a space where members of our community could find counseling, food, and other community resources. I hope this website will help us stay connected during this unsettling time. On the website you will find resources for supporting students at home, such as breathing and relaxation tools, ways to support children in identifying their emotions, and strategies for managing difficult behaviors. I will also post read alouds periodically and will be picking stories that seem relevant to the current time and the current needs of our students.
Thank you,
Jordan Karr

CARE-ING FOR OUR COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER
A letter from the Tigard-Tualatin Family Resource Center: CARE-ing Community Fundraiser
Dear Community Member,
During the COVID-19 pandemic, access to childcare has been one of the biggest barriers for families in our community. Being able to access safe and affordable childcare is often the first step for parents and guardians who wish to return to work. Yet the average monthly cost of childcare services for one child is between $900-$1,500.
Even as many of our families transition to hybrid learning with their local schools, this need will still be present. Due to COVID-19 safety measures, students are only in the classroom for a partial school day meaning that working parents are often not available for drop off and pick up. For many families, a lack of childcare means an inability to work and therefore to make ends meet.
For this reason, the Tigard-Tualatin Family Resource Center is fundraising for childcare tuition scholarships. Donating towards this fund will benefit not only the individual students and their families, but also older siblings in high school who will have the opportunity to fully engage in their own classwork and learning without having to care for younger siblings.
All donations are tax deductible and we are happy to provide you with a donation receipt. Please makes check out to the Tigard-Tualatin Family Resource Center and mail to 9000 SW Durham Road #716, Tigard, Oregon 97224. For other payment options, please feel free to call me at 503-603-1588. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Catherine West

The goal of the Virginia Garcia School-Based Health Center (SBHC) is to serve student health needs by providing easy access to high-quality, comprehensive health care. Our SBHC is located conveniently on the Forest Grove High School campus and is open to all students and employees of the Tigard/Tualatin School District.
