Cool Cat News

Principal Brief

September 28-October 2

Cool Cats- I am proud of all of you! I am seeing new strategies being taught in your classrooms and I am thrilled to see such a high level of engagement from our students! Jan Richardson says it best "Changing the way you teach reading is not easy. There will be days when you will think you will never get it right. The good news is you don't have to get it right in order for guided reading to work. You just have to do it- and then reflect on your teaching and on your students. Did they learn something new today? Did you help them become readers? What should you teach tomorrow? Just by asking these questions, you have already taken the next step towards becoming a better reading teacher."
