In one word- impressed
We have had a great start to the school year. The students have been awesome. They are following procedures, being respectful, and are still being kids. The staff has been amazing. They are providing support and guidance, and are still having fun. We are getting reacquainted, building relationships, and practicing procedures. Relationships and procedures are the keys to learning and a successful school year. We hope that you'll join us on this year's learning journey.

Below you will find a link to a flipgrid put together by our Intermediate School staff. Each staff member has shared a 30 second video about themselves with you. We hope you enjoy getting to know us a little better.
So, what's happening at the Intermediate School?
If you're ever wondering about what's going on at the Intermediate School, there are a variety of ways to find out. Follow us on Twitter (@mertonint), Instagram (mertonint), or Facebook (Merton Intermediate School). Our staff also sends emails through Skyward and use Google Classroom. Our daily announcements are posted on Twitter and Facebook and also on my website. I also send home this weekly smore and our Mustang Memo via email. I'm an email or phone call away if you're looking for any information, too.

New district cell phone policy
This summer, our school board adopted a new cell phone policy. Students are allowed to use cell phones before and after school as well as during lunch and recess. Students are not allowed to use cell phones in academic classes, including study hall. If students do have their cell phones out during class, the cell phones will be taken away and the student will receive a minor incident report. We appreciate your support with this new policy. The students are getting used to it, and so are we.
