NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT
Stephanie Holman- Kindergarten Mrs. Holman is new to Ocean Crest this year, but not new to teaching. This is her 16th year in education and she has joined us from California. Mrs. Holman has been married to her husband for 19 years and they have two daughters, 15 and 12. They also have two dogs; a giant Doberman named Dain and an Akita named Ellie. Her favorite hobbies are painting, drinking coffee, and traveling with her family. When asked what she loved most about working with kids, she said, "I love their little minds, they are hilarious, fun and see the world in such an innocent way. I am SO incredibly happy to be at Bandon, I feel at home here, everyone is friendly and welcoming. I could not have asked for a better place to continue my career. | Jessie Willams- PE Sub Jessie is currently a long term sub in our PE department while we wait for our new PE teacher to start in a few weeks. She was also here last hear as a long term sub for our 7th/8th grade math teacher. She is originally from Alaska. She enjoys Hiking, woodworking, and playing video games. When asked why she enjoys working at HLMS, she said that the "Bandon School is like a second home where the staff and kids are friendly and funny. I love to work with the kids here because they are full of life and energy that only Bandon kids have." We are happy to have her here, and know that she will be subbing a lot for us throughout the year once her position in the PE department comes to an end. | Karen Moore- English Karen Moore is originally from Ohio, then moved to California. She loves to travel, especially on road trips to see friends and family across the States and Canada. Ms. Moore loves working with the kids at Bandon High School because she says they're fun and excited to learn. She also enjoys working with the staff at BHS because they are super helpful, both to students and new teachers! When Ms. Moore isn't teaching, she enjoys sewing, painting, hiking, and cooking. If she could learn to do something really well, it would be to play baseball! Her favorite quote from a movie is, "Here's looking at you kid" Casablanca. Something that might surprise you about Ms. Moore is she doesn't actually like reading novels, but she loves to read non-fiction! Ms. Moore has already proved to be a great addition to BHS. She brings a lot of positive energy to our culture. We are excited to welcome her to our BHS family! |
