CONGRATULATIONS!!

Congratulations to our Iron Mariners Robotics Team for their outstanding performance in last week's meet! Points were scored by Eva Cardenas and Michael Stathuodakis. Great work everyone!


Congratulations to three Creative Writing Students who were named for outstanding achievement at the Ocean County Teen Arts Festival. James Klalo, whose one-act play, The Audience, was selected for the top honor and will compete in the virtual State Festival in June. Congratulations to James, Dylan Germann and Morgan Przewoznik who all will be featured in the Salute to Ocean County on June 15th.



Congratulations to the Nautical Star Theatre Company and the Theatre Academy for their wins at the Ocean County Teen Arts Competition. They will advance to the Virtual State Teen Arts Festival scheduled for June.

Congratulations goes out to Freshman Olivia Nickelson on her 2nd place finish at the track and field shore conference championships this past Saturday. Olivia ran a personal best 60.6 in the 400 meter dash to grab 2nd place overall. Great job Olivia! This is an outstanding accomplishment.


Congratulations to members of the Boys Track team for their performances at the Shore Conference Championships on Saturday. Kenny Warner won his first Shore Conference title by winning the 55 hurdles in a personal best time of 7.86. Diego Rodriguez and Junior Matthews both took home 2nd place finishes in the 800 and 400 respectively.

MODEL CONGRESS

Students from the HSS and HSN Political and Legal Education classes gathered at Town Hall last Thursday and Friday to participate in New Jersey Model Congress. TR students joined virtually with other students from across the state for this authentic learning experience.



The Mariners passed 14 bills out of committee.


Special congratulations to Nate Cook and Scott Gartley for passing their bills in overall session.


Nate Cook and Molly Willson were also named Outstanding Delegates.

Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore are packing up the fun of Girl Scouts and hosting a free Girl Power Drive Thru for Toms River girls of any age on April 18th, 2021 from 1-3pm. Girls can “drive-thru” our Ocean Service Center located at 1405 Old Freehold Road Toms River, NJ 08753, participate in two Girl Scout activities (slime & rotocopters), get FREE take-and-make activity kits and find out all the AMAZING things you could do in Girl Scouts! This event will follow all COVID-19 protocols in place on the state, national, and council levels.

Celebrate the Mouse Video Essay Competition

Congratulations to Freshman, Katie Culbert who recently won 2nd place in the National Celebrate the Mouse Competition sponsored by AALAS (American Association for Laboratory Animal Science Foundation) The Challenge: Create an original video essay explaining how you, a family member, friend, or pet have benefited from medical discoveries made possible thanks to work conducted with mice in biomedical research.
