What is going on?
We have a surprise! A new student named Sophie and she is just wonderful. We are so glad she is here with us! Aarav is back from India too! We are complete!
Please remember to wear class t-shirts to Field Day. Wear comfortable shoes and bring an extra water bottle.
If you are also inclined to send in wipes, lysol, paper towels, and hand sanitizer. We will do our best to keep clean and virus free as much as possible.
Curriculum:
Reading: Students will learn reading comprehension test-taking strategies. These strategies include how to defend an answer with text evidence.
Writing: This week, students will begin writing to persuade their reader to change their opinion or convince them to do something.
Spelling: Through, mother, ask, because, enough, said, great, away
Grammar: Students will learn that adverbs help tell the reader important information such as how, when, where, or how often.
Science: This week we will conduct a STEM project exploring how seeds get from place to place, and create a new plant.
Math:
Students will model, create, and describe contextual division situations in which a set of concrete objects is separated into equivalent sets. We’ll work on problem solving and reinforce problem solving skills as they relate to multiplication and division word problems.
