Principals Message:
Dear Weibel Families,
It has been a fast and wonderful first month of school. Thank you to all who attended Back to School Night 2022. We had an amazing turnout for both virtual BTSN in August and in September. As students are relearning their routines and expectations, our school has been focusing on character development and school expectations. Please continue to have conversations with your child about the importance of respecting others and demonstrating school expectations.
The month of October is filled with school-wide activities. We will kick off the month with our Walk & Roll to school day. All of FUSD will be participating in the Alameda County Walk & Roll to school day on October 12th. Some other activities we have this month include: Wildcat Run, Red Ribbon Week, and Costume Parade. Parents are welcomed to join us outside for our Wildcat Run and our Costume Parade. Keep in mind, you are coming as a “Visitor” not a Volunteer. You will get to join these two activities as a spectator.
Please scroll down to see our PTO section on this newsletter. PTO weekly emails will only be sent to families who join PTO. We highly encourage you to join to support Weibel students/teachers and all the activities PTO organizes. They had a huge success with their welcome picnic and look forward to the Friday ice cream sales as well as the upcoming Wildcat Run. Weibel staff is so appreciative of everything this group has done for our school, students, and staff.
Go Wildcats!
Ms. Lee
Weibel Principal

Happy October!
This year has started out strong with our students and staff celebrating Start With Hello Week in September. Start with Hello Week is a program supported by the Sandy Hook Promise. It gets kids talking about and learning the importance of noticing others, reaching out to them and inviting them to be part of our community. We encourage students to not just make new connections and friendships during SWH Week, rather all year long. Support your student in this endeavor by checking in with them throughout the year. Encourage them to invite new students, or students who are often alone, to play with them. If you are concerned that your student may be feeling alone, reach out to your student's teacher and/or the counseling team for support! Keep the conversation going this month as you talk to your students about being inclusive, while celebrating and enjoying differences.
Take Care,
Christel and Wendy (Weibel's co-counselors)
