Tourist Attractions/ History
Chatham county is a beautiful county. There are so many things to do. Some of the tourist attractions are Mt. Vernon Springs, and the Jordan Lake State Recreation Area. There are also some landmarks at Chatham some of which are the Jordan lake and the Chatham county Courthouse and Historical museum.
Chatham first got its name in 1758 for William Pitt 1st earl of Chatham, who served as British prime minister from 1766 to 1768 and opposed harsh colonial policies.
