Social Studies - Mr. Creswell
I moved our quiz and test scheduled for last week to this coming week. I did this because so many students were involved in the Penguin Project. I am very proud of those that participated in the project.
Dance - Mrs. Brewington
7th dance focus: We began Tinikling last week learning all the basics! The students created their own Tinikling dances, which are dueSept 18th. Please encourage your child to look at google classroom daily. Please visit https://sites.google.com/gwd50.org/actsdance/home
Science- Mrs. Sexton
We will continue our unit on ecology with more of an emphasis on the abiotic factors such as soil.
Science - Mrs. Griffin
The students will develop and use models to explain how organisms interact in a competitive or mutually beneficial relationship for food, shelter, or space with a focus on predator-prey relationships. They will also work with food webs and energy pyramids to exemplify how the transfer of energy in an ecosystem supports the concept that energy is conserved. They will have the Ecology Test 1 on Friday the September 21st.
SS & ELA - Mrs. Owensby
7th Grade SS
Students will study the impact of the American Revolution on France and England. They will study the importance of constitutions.
7th Grade ELA
Students will be working on grammar and punctuation skills this week. We will continue our study of fiction writers as we improve our reading and writing skills.
