Happy Catholic Schools Week 2019!!!

Father John V. Doyle School has a fun-filled week planned to celebrate our Catholic identity and school spirit!

Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed!

Sun 1/27 – 11:30am Mass @ SSJP Church and FJVD Open House 12:30-2:00pm

Pray Daily - We pray for all members of our school and parish community.

Mon 1/28 – Cranium Competition – 1pm in the gym

Tues 1/29 – Chain Reaction Service Project

Wed 1/30 – STEAM Mystery Competition – 1pm in the parish center

Thurs 1/31 – Name That Tune – 1pm in the gym

Thurs 1/31 - Leah & Olivia (both from grade 7) will represent FJVD at the Diocesan Spelling Bee at St. Mary's in Cranston - 4pm

Fri 2/1 – Career Day in the morning; Student vs. Faculty Volleyball Game – 1pm in the gym

Fri 2/1 - Family Bingo and Cook-Off evening event!

I would also like to thank Mike Bagley, owner of M B Tile Works and SSJP parishioner, for donating his services to tile the boys restroom floor in time for our Open House AND to one of our grandparents for donating the materials! It looks wonderful!

Catholic Schools Week Mass on January 27, 2019

Catholic Schools Week at Father John V. Doyle School will begin with Mass on Sunday January 27, 2019 at 11:30am. We hope all of our school families will be able to attend and celebrate together!

ALL STUDENTS who attend this Mass dressed in full school uniform will receive a no-uniform day in February.

FJVD participates in the National Day of Giving on January 29-30, 2019

NCEA is pleased to present this year's Many Gifts, One Nation: A Day of Giving to Catholic Schools. Scheduled for January 29, 2019, 12 PM EST toJanuary 30, 2019 12 PM EST, this is a time for parents, grandparents, alumni, students, friends, business and community partners to give to their local Catholic school. This national day of philanthropy and camaraderie invites all people who have benefited from a Catholic school education to donate at a local level.

Trip of a Lifetime - Raffle!

The winner of this raffle will choose one of the following great experiences: Napa Valley Wine Tour, Viva Las Vegas, or The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Your three night/four-day trip includes roundtrip main cabin airfare for two and deluxe hotel accommodations. Each trip is valued at $5,000.00. Tickets are $100 each and a limited number of tickets not to exceed 100 will be sold. Tickets can be purchased in the school lobby on Friday mornings from 7:45 – 8:15, or after Sunday morning masses in the lobby at the Parish Center entrance. More detailed information about each trip can be found in the lobby.

School Board invites you to the next Open Session...

Thank you to all who attended our Open Session of the School Board meeting on Monday, December 10!

The next School Board meeting will be held on Tuesday January 29, 2019 in the rectory conference room and the Open Session will begin at 6:30pm. Space in the conference room is limited. For seating purposes, please let Mrs. Smith know if you plan on attending. Thank you!
