Celebrate Black History Month This February

We hope you are enjoying reading the Black History calendar with your family each day. Our hope is that your family will take time each day to talk about and celebrate the many featured African-Americans on this calendar. In addition, our morning announcements will feature a daily fact about Black History for the students to hear. Be sure to pay close attention because a Black History Month Trivia night is coming to Deerfield using these facts! Save the date for Thursday, February 20th from 4:30-6:00 p.m. for fun and refreshments. If you have questions, please email the Deerfield PTO at Thanks to Amy Garcia for creating the calendar and to Tara Michener and Krissy Johnson for planning the Trivia Night.

Novi Educational Foundation

Are you looking for ways where your valuable time can make a HUGE impact? The Novi Educational Foundation (NEF) impacts EVERY student in the Novi Community School District and NEEDS the teamwork of volunteers to cover all the bases. We are looking to fill the roster for our IMPACT TEAM, which consists of participating on one of our seven committees, joining our Board of Trustees or simply adding your name to our Volunteer List to act as a pinch hitter when needed. Talents in finance, legal, marketing, fundraising and/or event-planning are never benched. Our impact is only as large as our roster. We’ll have an IMPACT TEAM informational breakfast on February 28th at 7:30am to discuss our mission, committees and ways to help.
