Black History Month 2023
The Black History Month Celebrations began this week with the theme of 'Saluting our Sisters'. Along with an assembly about incredible British women, students have learned about a female icon of education in tutor time. This week the icon is Beryl Gilroy, London's first Black British headteacher.
On Thursday students also dined to Reggae music whilst being offered Caribbean chicken curry or Reggae Reggae sweet potato curry with rice.
Next week students will learn about another icon and dine to a different genre of music.

Careers
We would like to thank our Alumni and our Give an Hour Volunteers who came in to school last year to help with our careers events. We had some amazing experiences which couldn't have gone ahead without the help of those who volunteered. We have another packed calendar of events planned over the coming months.
We are always keen to welcome new employers, employees and businesses into our school. If you interested in being involved, take a look at our Give an Hour campaign.
Get involved We’d like to invite you to give an hour and make a difference to the future career choices that a young person makes. There are so many ways you can support our school, whether that be in person or virtually. Sharing your career journey can be powerful. Your insights, unique industry knowledge and experience can make a difference to the options a young person considers for their future career.
You could be the role model who changes a young person's life, just by showing what is possible. See document below.
