From the Principal
Hello, Midland Mustang Families!
Our teachers and nurse are working harder than ever!! While teaching from home may not seem to be challenging, our staff is working with all new technology and without the tools they usually have in the classroom. They are planning, reaching out to families, scheduling conferences and online class meetings, and continuing the learning, all while also taking care of their families, with many of them teaching their own children at home, too!
I am asking that this year for Teacher Appreciation, would you please help your child make a poster or sign that thanks their teacher? Please take a picture of your child with the sign and send it to your child's teacher's email. They will be thrilled to receive a picture of your child this week!! Your children also have other teachers at Midland, so perhaps they can also choose a specialist (Mrs. Wheeler, Ms. Jen, Ms. Murray, Ms. Espinoza, Mr. Scotti, Ms. Spaven, Ms. Brown, Ms. Claudio, Mrs. Floyd, Mrs. Stevens, Mrs. Blaisdell) for a second picture card.
This week is also NURSE appreciation week. Please join me in thanking our school nurse, Mrs. Debbie Stippich, for the great work she does each day!
Nurse: Mrs. Stippich
Kindergarten: Mrs. Barry, Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Elliott, Mrs. Kristovich First Grade: Ms. Beck, Mr. DeBruler, Mrs. Hart, Ms. Ray Second Grade: Ms. Cornell, Ms. Hooker, Mrs. Quill, Mrs. Stephens Third Grade: Ms. Benson, Mrs. Kamel, Mrs. Larson, Ms. Soares Fourth Grade: Mrs. Aponte, Ms. Foust, Mrs. Huddle, Ms. Woods Fifth Grade: Mrs. Hallahan, Ms. Maxwell, Ms. Moore-McCreary, Ms. Piercy Support Centers: Mrs. Houk and Mrs. Southerland Specialists: Ms. Claudio, Mrs. Floyd, Mrs. Spaven, Ms. Brown, Mrs. Stevens (ELL), Ms. Murray, Mrs. Wheeler, Mrs. Jen Weimer
THEN, please save your posters and use them again on Thursday afternoon for our Midland Mustang teacher and staff car parade! We will leave Midland at 1:30 and the parade will go through our school area. The map is attached, so you can see our expected route.
We are hopeful that you will come out on Thursday to the streets where we will be driving, so our teachers can see your students! We miss you and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
Stay safe and keep learning!
~Mrs. Dawson
