NURSERY AND GIRLS
“Take every chance, drop every fear and always reach for the stars!”
It’s the end of January - can you believe it?! As we approach February, we start to think of Spring and all of the things which we have to look forward to. The girls are working so hard in all aspects of the curriculum; working towards their targets and next steps. Taking risks and learning from our mistakes was the theme for our assembly.

PARKING CONSULTATION - YOUR SUPPORT REQUIRED
As you may be aware from our email earlier this week there are proposals for further parking/loading restrictions on College Road. If you have not already completed the consultation, please do so before the closing date of 31 January.
We are under constant scrutiny from local residents and RBWM officials with regards to the parking of parent, staff and student vehicles and we would respectfully request that our School community park sensibly and safely, within the rules of the Highway Code to avoid further aggravation and confrontation. If you have to park and walk for the safety of all concerned then please do so. Also due to the limited parking on the school grounds can we ask that when dropping/collecting children at school that you vacate the space as quickly as possible so that other parents can park.
Thank you for your support
Thank you all for supporting the recent nearly new uniform sale which was very successful with sales totalling £708.00 for January. We are currently awaiting further sales dates for 2016 and will keep you posted. In the meantime remember you can bring your old uniform in throughout the year dropping at the school office clearly marked. This year marks the 16th annual National Storytelling Week, an event which promotes the oral tradition of storytelling, the very first way of communicating life experiences and the creative imagination. Book Swap: Friday 5th February
All the Claires Court Libraries will also be holding a Book Swap on Friday 5th February. To participate just bring in a book – in good condition – that you have read and enjoyed but no longer want. A book you think your friends will enjoy as much as you! Bring the book along to the Junior or Senior Library on Book Swap Day next week and swap it for a new one. It’s that simple! It’s also completely FREE and you can swap as many books as you wish. Donate your old books and come and discover a new treasure…who knows what you will
The libraries have purchased a number of e-books for you to read on the school computers or on your own devices.
The available titles can be found on the school Hub under Library Services, by logging on to the Access-It library database with your 5 digit school number. You can access this site through any internet connected device both in school and at home. You can download the book for 7 days to read on your IPad, laptop, or phone or, if you have a Kindle Fire, you can read the book online. Don’t worry, it will remember where you are in the book each time you log on.
If you want to try one of our e-books for the first time, come and see one of the Librarians and we will help you access the site and give you some information.
