Kodiak Family Update
09/07/20 - 09/11/20
From the Principal
Kodiak Family,
The bell schedule and first day of school schedule is contained within this newsletter. Please make sure you review your student's schedule in PowerSchools prior to the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8th.
Thank you for picking up your student's device over the last two days. If you still have not had a chance to pick up your device, please contact the school at (208)350-4443 and we will work with you to set up a time between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm to pick up the device from the main office.
We are waiting on word from district office on when hotspots will be available. I will be sending communication to families when we are ready to distribute hotspots. Thank you for your patience!
During the first week of school, teachers will communicate with students the process for picking up any supplies that may be needed for electives including instruments, art supplies, FCS supplies, and music.
We are excited to begin the 2020-2021 school year. While we know that this is not the way any of us would have imagined the start to the school year, we know that this journey will be one students and staff will rock!
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Go Kodiaks!

Kodiak Coaches' Den
The West Ada School District Board of Trustees approved the return to athletics plan on Tuesday. This means we can continue to practice and play in our competitions. Unfortunately, because we are currently in the red, spectators will not be allowed at games/meets. If we are moved to yellow, two parents will be allowed at home games, one parent allowed at away games. Siblings, relatives, or friends will not be allowed to attend in both red and yellow. We ask that everyone adhere to this plan so our kids can participate in their respected activities.
We are looking for scoreboard operators and chain crew for home volleyball and football games. This is one way you would be allowed to attend home games. If you would like to volunteer, please sign-up at the following webpage: https://www.westada.org/domain/6629 You will want to make sure you sign-up for your child’s respective game. All volunteers will be required to wear a mask.
As a parent myself, my favorite part of my kids playing sports is to watch them in action. Not being able to watch them will undoubtedly be difficult. Please recognize, our priority is to offer our kids the opportunity for extracurricular activities. This plan allows that to happen while taking precautions in preventing the spread of Covid-19. Your cooperation with this necessary and appreciated.
Covid-19 reminders: Please do not send your child to practices and competitions if he/she is not feeling well. Each athlete is encouraged to have their own water bottle and hand sanitizer.
For more information about Covid-19 and athletics visit https://www.westada.org/domain/11103
Buses will be provided to and from away games/meets. If you are willing to transport your child to and from away games, we highly encourage it. This will help reduce the number of athletes on the bus. We just ask you communicate with your coach so they are aware your child will not be on the bus.
Reminder for all fall athletes to pay their fees at the office or online at our website. Participation fee is $90. Activity card is $22.26. This needs to be completed before our first competition.
