Mini Grant Opportunity

Do you have an AMAZING idea for your classroom or the school? We have an incredible opportunity from the Educational Foundation to apply for a grant. They have been awarded $100,000 (No - we can't ask for that much) to give away to Forsyth County Schools that apply for something outside the box. It can not be for anything already covered by the school, school supplies or food related. If you have an idea email me and let's talk!!!!! Applications are due August 1st!

Summer Learning Institute

FCS Instructional Summit 2016:



When: July 18 & 19, 8am – 1pm each day



Where: Shiloh Pt & Piney Grove



Cost: $20 per teacher - Mashburn will cover your cost

Summer Technology Professional Learning



This summer, the Instructional Technology team will provide professional learning options to meet your needs: PL available through videos that you can watch any time, online options, and face-to-face sessions. Check this list for topics of interest, then check back at the end of May for the video links/session information. Leadership Academy for Instructional Media and Technology



The Instructional Technology Department is pleased to offer a new course beginning in the Fall of 2016 that combines the best of the Aspiring ITS and Instructional Leadership for Library Media Specialist courses. In this course, we will honor the rich partnership that can be created between the Instructional Media and Instructional Technology Specialists, while at the same time respecting the uniqueness of each position. This course is for Forsyth County educators in their first year of service as an ITS or in a media center, current teachers with an interest in working in Instructional Media or Technology, and those currently working in these areas with an interest in improving skill sets. May 20th - Mashburn 4th and 5th visiting Lakeside and having a picnic, Grizzly Day of Giving

May 24th -Milestone retest, Rosati's Spirit night

May 26th - 5th grade graduation at Central High 6:00, students need to be there by 5:30.

May 27th - Last Day of School

May 30th - Memorial Day

May 31st - K screening, Post planning, class placement, cake and ice cream celebration for those leaving

June 1st - Postplanning, check out


July 9th - 10th - The 7 Mindsets Ultimate Life Summit in Atlanta
