Live, Laugh, Learn, Leave a Legacy
Dear Patterson Families,
Our third quarter is already coming to an end and students are looking forward to their upcoming spring break. I want to take this opportunity to express how much I appreciate all of the collaboration that took place over conference week last month. Keeping the lines of communication open between teachers and families is so important to the success of each student.
At Patterson we are committed to teaching the whole child. Our students are hardworking and kind. The third intersession break is well deserved by all of our students. They have learned and grown so much during these first three quarters of the school year both academically and socially. Each day our students show the Be Kind traits that we practice throughout the year. It makes the energy at our school positive and helps to motivate students to achieve success on all levels.
On behalf of the teachers and staff, I would like to say thank you Patterson families for your kindness, support and partnership. It is my sincere hope that spring break brings memorable family time with time to rest and rejuvenate as we head into the fourth quarter of the 2021-2022 school year.
Warmly,
Ms. Stephens
4th Annual Healthy Choice Challenge
We all know that eating healthy foods leads to a healthier body, and healthy foods lead to more brain power! Children who eat healthy are able to learn better, have better memory and are more alert. One reason is that foods that are rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats like eggs, yogurt, apples and oatmeal keep their growing bodies feeling full longer so that they can focus on school instead of a growling belly. One simple way to be sure they have a healthy lunch is to pack foods in every color of the rainbow.
Our school cafeteria offers free breakfast and lunch with many healthy choices including fruit, vegetables, milk and protein.
Let’s continue to make March the month that we challenge each other to add at least one colorful, healthy snack to our lunches and remove one that might not be as healthy. Your kids will notice the difference and so will you!
CLASSROOM TREAT REMINDER
Please remember that food treats must be store bought and individually packaged by the manufacturer (example: Hostess/Little Debbie).
Donuts, cupcakes and any treat that is not individually wrapped will not be allowed. We also encourage families to share items such as pencils, erasers, or other small treats in lieu of food.
Thank you families for your generosity and commitment to health and safety.
Lost and Found
Our bins are getting full again, please remind your child to check for any missing items. All items left when we close for spring break will be donated to charity.
