A Note from the PTA President
As we’ve entered the 2nd quarter of the academic year I find myself experiencing a season of thanksgiving for all of the families and businesses that have contributed towards a successful start of the year.
If you have given of your resources I want to say THANK YOU! It is because of YOU that PTA can enhance the experience of each student at English Landing.
Of special thanks, I would like to share my gratitude for the PTA officers and committee chairs that gift their time and talents for the benefit of English Landing and it’s students. Please know that I am deeply appreciative of each of you.
Please watch for more to come on how you can support your student(s) in the upcoming Fun Run Fundraiser on November 9, 2018.
Mark your calenders for Monday, January 7 at 10am. This will be our next meeting in the Flex Classroom at English Landing.

Fun Run
Parents! This year, English Landing’s main fundraiser is the FUN RUN!
The Fun Run is a two-week program that kicks off with a Pep Rally for the students on Monday, October 29th.
Families will then gather pledges for every lap your student runs (30-35 laps).
We will celebrate with the Fun Run on Friday, November 9th. At which time, families are invited to come and cheer on your student during his/her scheduled specials period.
With our big goal of raising $4000 for field trips and other PTA-supported initiatives, we asked the Fun Run experts at Boosterthon to power our Fun Run and make it easier, more profitable, and more fun. Additionally, you can help us soar to our goal by reaching out to sponsors.
Students will also experience an amazing character theme, MINDSPARK MYSTERY LAB!, Boosterthon’s most exciting theme yet, which combines S.T.E.A.M skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) with character-building. While they're teaming up with the MindSpark Kids to solve mysteries, our students will learn five 21st-century character traits that will help strengthen themselves and our world.

Reflections Program
For 50 years, National PTA’s Reflections program has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create and submit original works of art in one or all of the available arts categories.
English Landing is excited to be participating in the Reflections Program again this year! Be on the lookout for signs and flyers detailing the registration requirements over the next few weeks!
The following link will give you the participation guidelines:
