Homegrown Institute Update
We have received confirmation from the Homegrown Institute regarding our July 9-12 Writing Institute dates. Due to the large response, the Teachers College has added an additional small institute in April to accommodate the number of participants who have signed up to attend.
Each building can utilize the best decision-making process for them, a lottery system was suggested as one way to determine who would have the opportunity to attend. Each building has five slots for attendance: two for K-2 institute, two for the 3-5 institute, and the building literacy coach. Each building has one slot for K-2 and one slot for 3-5 that will be covered by a substitute; the other slot for each grade span would require building coverage.
Those who do not attend in April will still have the opportunity to attend in July as originally planned.
This is a lot of information to take in, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Carrie Hepburn.
