What is it?
Copyright is a collection of rights granted to the author of a piece of work.
Types of Copyright Licenses
1. Public Domain
Public Domain is work that isn’t protected by copyright laws anymore because the copyright has expired, someone donated it, or it was made with public money.
Example: Classic literature
2. Freeware
Freeware is copyrighted work that you can copy, use, or give away for free.
Examples: iTunes, Windows Media Player, and Internet Explorer.
3. Shareware
Shareware is copyrighted work that you can use for free, but only for a limited time.
Example: Microsoft Word has a free trial.
4. All Rights Reserved
All rights reserved is work that only allows the purchaser to use the software according to the license agreements.
Example: Microsoft Office
5. Open Source
Open Source is software that includes the source code, with the idea that someone can improve it.
Example: Google Chrome
