Welcome to our new digital newsletter!
As always please be mindful that children are everywhere - walking and riding. Parents, please take a moment to review proper street safety.

Cooler weather is finally here! As we move into this holiday season, the board would like to thank all the homeowners who help make our neighborhood a great place to live.
Over the past few years we have seen a huge increase in online shopping, thus creating more deliveries and packages being left on front doors. If you receive a package that is not yours, be a good neighbor and make sure it gets to the correct address. If you will be traveling or are gone for the day, kindly ask a neighbor or friend to collect packages to ensure their receipt. We will be reaching out to our security patrol regarding delivery vehicles exceeding the speed limits.this matter.
Additionally, setting up a mail stop or having a neighbor collect your mail will give you peace of mind as you enjoy your holiday travels.
We will have holiday lights this year! Our goal is to have them up by the end of November.
Have a Happy Holiday season!
Holiday Lighting Safety Tips
Check your light sets for cracked insulation, frayed wires or damaged sockets. Any of these could cause short circuits.
Don't overload your string sets. Check the instructions on the package to find out how many light sets can be connected to each other.
Avoid overloading circuits. Most home circuits can take 15 amps, or 1,800 watts.
Cover each outdoor plug and connector joint with plastic wrap to protect it from rain; seal it with electrical tape.
If you use staples instead of tape to secure lights, be sure that they're insulated staples.
Make sure decorations pose no danger to children or pets. Don't leave cords dangling or strung loosely on the floor or stairs.

Pickle Ball Invasion!!!
The Pickle ball is up, running and gaining popularity in Connemara. Tuesday nights have become the official night to play, organized by my wonderful husband, Jim. We usually gather at 7:00pm and have both courts in use. I am thrilled to have become acquainted with Connemara neighbors I had not met before; some with prior experience while others gamely tried it for the first time. Everyone is welcoming and willing to help anyone who wants to come out. Connemara HOA has purchased all the equipment needed to play and it is stored in the box on Court 3. We have been doing informal rotations and look to organize a friendly round robin type format soon. Look for details on Facebook. Pickle ball can be played by people of all ages and skill levels. Being a tennis player is not a requirement to play!!
Windscreens for the lower courts should be installed next month. I may need some volunteers with ladders as I plan to install them myself to save money.
Big shout out to Mickey Ward, Dave Dwyer and Jim Weisel for volunteering to pressure wash field side of Court 4 which had developed a slippery “mold”, making play after rain treacherous. When you see them, be sure and thank them for their work!!
I am still working on the Middle Pavilion Project. I hope to have something concrete to report next newsletter.
There are some new marks on the upper, newly painted courts which do not seem to be tennis related. Please, tennis only on the courts! If you happen to see anyone, doing anything else, please feel free to stop and politely ask them to stop, or shoot me a text so I can take care of it.
Upon completion of play, empty the courtside bins, and shut off the lights and fans when leaving. Captains, please make sure the court bins are emptied as well as the upper pavilion trash can before leaving the courts.
My goal is to make the tennis area not just a great place to play and gather but a visual asset to the neighborhood, enhancing all our property values. It is in everyone’s best interest to see the pool, playground, clubhouse, tennis courts and pavilions looking their best. Feel free to contact me with any concerns or suggestions. Hope to see you on the courts!

Santa at the Clubhouse - Sunday, December 15
Mark your calendars for Sunday Dec 15th Santa is coming to Connemara from 2 to 4! He will be at the clubhouse so bring your list and your camera!
Having made it through the long, dry end of summer, the Connemara commons area seems to be in pretty good shape. The winter flowers have been installed with deer netting, and the large groupings of petunias behind them will be pruned back in the next couple of weeks. The irrigation system is functioning as well as possible and we will continue to work on replacing damaged irrigation heads and cleaning the filters. The river water is less expensive, but silt in the system is an ongoing issue.
We are planning on adding several more crape myrtles along the drive in February.
We are hoping to set up a Connemara work day to tackle several projects in need of attention. Keep an eye out for dates and times.
Rent the Connemara Clubhouse for your holiday party!
The renovated clubhouse offers a great option for your Holiday gathering, but get your reservation in quickly before all the dates are taken. The clubhouse will be decorated for the Holidays, so all you have to do is show up. How easy is that?
To make a reservation, start by checking the clubhouse calendar on the Connemara HOA website ( http://connemarahoa.com) to see if the date you are interested in is available, then print out a rental contract and put it and checks for the rental fee and refundable security fee in the HOA mailbox in the parking lot. It’s that simple, and you don’t even have to clean your house!!
Weekday rates are $75 per time slot and weekend rates are $150 per time slot. Time slots are 8 am to 4 pm and 4 pm to midnight. Connemara loves to party and the clubhouse makes partying easy!
Follow these simple instructions to complete your clubhouse rental:
- Login into the Connemara HOA website http://connemarahoa.com
- Click on the General tab to check the clubhouse calendar for available date.
- On the calendar you will see an option “click here for reservations”; this will generate an email request for reservations.
- You will then need to click Documents under the General tab and print out a rental contract, and put the completed contract, rental fee, and refundable security deposit in HOA mailbox and email me to let me know it’s there. Your reservation will be finalized once the contract and fees are received.
- A few days before your date, you will receive an email with instructions for the keyless entry, security code, and clean up instructions.
